Axle

Named for the robust steel frame within the center of its design, the Axle is a minimalist masterpiece with complex attraction.

 Simple and masculine in form, the imposing steel frame is striking from a distance while providing industrial strength in functionality. As the foundation for an internal skeleton this frame balances the soft lines of the cushioning and the combination of two complementary textures: feathers and foam.

The arms are filled with feather, creating a plush and pliable surface to sink into. Kovacs have carefully proportioned the fill to allow some movement in shape without compromising aesthetic integrity or structural support (which is the downfall of many feather-filled pieces).

The seat and back are crafted using various specialist commercial grades of foam. The overall combination providing luxurious comfort and durability.
