The Great Lewis's Cook-Off!

We are almost at the end of Lewis’s 75 Day celebration of 75 Years. We have celebrated our history, we have celebrated our customers, and last week we celebrated our team! After all, it is the commitment and enthusiasm of the Lewis’s family that makes our company and history so special.

So, for the first time in 75 years, we closed up shop for a day, and went on a road-trip.

No celebration is complete without good food, and you can’t get much better than one of New Zealand’s top caterers, Ruth Pretty. With a track record of success over 25 years, experience is something we have in common. We call it the ‘Art of Furnishing’; she calls it the ‘Art of Food’.

We travelled to Ruth Pretty’s Cooking School for a beautiful lunch, prepared by ourselves. We took part in a private cooking class where we tried some of Ruth’s favourite recipes. It was interactive, a little bit competitive, but it was our way of saying thank you to the team.
