Our Advice | Blinds For Your Kitchen

Cover 9

Selecting the right product to place at your kitchen window is a two-fold conundrum. You want it to look good, but functionality and durability are key when it comes to kitchens. We’ve all cooked up a storm in the kitchen, only to find sometimes days later when cleaning there’s mystery spots and flecks in funny places. That is why it’s so important to select a product that you can clean.

At Lewis’s we don’t recommend any Curtains or Roman Blinds in kitchens as you’d be forever cleaning pasta sauce and oil splatter from  the fabric. Not only that, but fabric is hugely absorbent of smells and moisture in the air. Best to stick to the hard blinds in a creative wet zone like a kitchen.

We can show you a range of different blinds to suit your kitchen, from Shutters, Venetian Blinds, Roller Blinds, and Cellular Blinds. If you’d like to book in for one of our In-Home consultants to come out and show you the products, you can book in an appointment here.

We’ve put together some of our favourite looks for kitchen blinds below. Get inspired!

The Luxaflex Top-down-Bottom-up blinds pictured above are especially clever in kitchens, as you can stand at the sink and let light in over the top of the blind, and can lift the bottom a little to avoid any soap splatter from the sink from hitting the blind – all the while you can wash the dishes in privacy from the neighbours!
